about THE NEXT NEW ALBUM ("Phoenix", 2020)
« on: April 27, 2016, 01:14:14 PM »
meant is the album after Static on the Airwayes 2012. EDIT   ;) and NOT We Are The Collective

I just stumbled over a tiny bit on a venue site - just good enough as starter for the topic:

""Brighton folk/punk band Levellers have announced their first tour in Australia in 2016 plus festival appearances and a new album in the making.""

meant was probably We Are The Collective

but this topic was/is for THE NEW ALBUM with more NEWs

So far-

title: unknow / Phoenix ?
cover art: unknow
release date: XX.XX.2020
producer: unknow
track list: unknow

possible songs:

The Shame (Simon solo) - popped up live Dec 2015, plus Jon/fiddle live 2016

Drug Bust McGee

(both released on We Are The Collective 2018)

Our New Day - popped up live Dec 2015, still not forgotten live Mar 2019

Furies - popped up live Nov 2010 (comeback would be welcome)

All the Unknown - live 2016

Food, Roof & Family - live debut Mar 2019

If you catch another song or any information about the new album
in the www or really live in life
please keep the people informed here   ;)

I was surprised negative when I read the announcement of an acoustic album in combination with the tracklist the first time - as new output after 2012. But at least 2 titles were eye-catching: Liberty and England My Home.

Meanwhile I catched more than these 2 songs live and it was cracking good in a very different way.
Liberty AC sound is almost like a lullaby and England My Home AC tends to a dirge/requiem song.
Pretty hard to recognise some of the new arranged songs only with the music / without the lyrics.

Maybe they missed a online competition relating to the upcoming release of the new album - at best before the tracklist was public.
What do you think is the title of this old/new Levellers song? Then only the music part of a new arranged song is played as "clue"

Why did that surprise you in a negative way, vanishing.point? It sounds pretty interesting to me. Of course, you might still be right in the end. It all depends on the execution. I'm hoping for the best.
