We're planning to return to BD's in 2010 but as the thought of camping fills me with dread I'm looking into getting a van for the event.

Can anyone confirm the BD's guidelines for what constitutes a 'campervan' ? Am I ok to simply borrow a Transit and stick a mattress in the back or does it have to meet a certain criteria ?

Thanks in advance.

Another campervan question: my mate Phil(ippa) has checked with her 'rents and we can borrow their campervan for B-Days if we want to, yay!  Grin  How far out is the campervan field?  I love the idea of plush accommodation (well, comparatively) but I'll be sad to be nowhere near you lot  Cry will just have to come hang out with you for all hours  Grin Kiss

It's not far at all! 5 mins walk - over the bridge and up the hill past family camping!  We tend to pack everything up for the day and head down after lunch and stay out till bed tiime!!

To be honest would never go to a festival in a tent again!  we went in the t4 this time and that was even more luxurious than the split - so will be there in the t4 again next year!!  Only thing is the split is so light it had no trouble getting off the field last year - transits taking the same route less than 5 mins later got stuck! didn't get to see how the aa van would fare in those situations this year - not complaining though  Grin  Browny likes us taking the t4 n all cos I'll drive that and it's a long treck to devon so can share the driving!  split is a left hand drive panel van with original brakes (1958 - so drum brakes) and the like - not driving that, more than my life's worth and too scary!!

see you there next year!!
