Not sure if they are unsigned or unknown but I saw The Deportees* for the first time last night and they were really good!

Sort of reminded me of The Men They Couldn't Hang only different

And they were nice blokes too

*Actually I saw about half of them doing a set at Sawyers, I'd really like to see the full band now.
