There is a good interview with Mark in this months Acoustic magazine where he describes his fondness for his 1954 Martin acoustic guitar amongst other things. There is a couple of great photos in the article too. I spent half my lunch break looking for it after a mate told me about it. If you wan't to go out and buy it or just flick through it, it is the magazine with Suzanne Vega on the front cover. It ain't cheap at £3.95 but it is a good read. Wink

The 1954 Martin is still the main guitar on this tour.  The guitar he uses for Dirty Davey (as well as others, but always for Dirty Davey) is a custom built Fylde that he had made to replicate the sound of the Martin.

The Martin has suffered some damage in it's life, the worse being when the back split in half at the Ryde Ice Arena because of the cold!  He still used it for the show, Grufta his old guitar tech gaffer-taped it back together.

I'm not sure what the value is, a 52 year old Martin could be worth tens of thousands, but in light of what Mark's has been through, it's probably not at the higher end of valuations, but absolutely priceless as far as Mr C is concerned.
